You do not owe anyone a novel. Two or three short paragraphs is enough.
We met at a mutual friend’s birthday in Leeds in 2019. Five years, one flat, and one very nervous proposal later, we’re tying the knot in Yorkshire with the people who got us here.
Skip childhood timelines unless you enjoy writing them. Guests came for the day, not your CV.
Ceremony and reception

Answer the questions you are already getting in the family WhatsApp.
Dress code? Garden-party smart. Heels will sink in the lawn — wedges or flats are fine.
Kids? We’re keeping the day adult-only so everyone can relax. Happy to suggest local babysitters if useful.
Can I bring a plus-one? Only if their name is on your invite — space is tight.
Will there be a coach back? Yes, two coaches return to York station at 11:30pm and 12:30am.
